The Axolotl takes its first steps in the Lake in an overwhelming clash of instincts. Does it run? Does it hide? Does it succumb to what lurks in the waters?

MonoSpace is a highscore based game where you control an axolotl and outrun the Big Fish for as long as possible. Choose between various moves, have the foresight of using the “Move Queue” wisely, and survive other dangers of the Lake such as the Heron and the Carp. You only have access to ONE key in your keyboard, the space bar, use it with all you’ve got!

Press <SPACE> to perform the movement at the bottom of the Move Queue to advance in the game, removing both this movement AND the next one, choose wisely. Moves are randomly generated, and scroll down once every second.

Gain points overtime, when you move, and when you eat food scraps.

The Heron submerges its claws as it scans the waters, watching for its next meal under the surface, which may just be you.

- Red “Heron” tiles appear on the Lake. Staying in these tiles for too long causes the Heron to shoot its beak down, catching the Axolotl.

The Bass swims rapidly in the currents, blindly rushing for scraps, avoid its path!

- A pair of white eyes appears at the top of a column. After a few seconds, the Bass charges down this column.

The Big Fish of the Lake watches the axolotl, playing with its food. Soon, it will lose patience. Keep moving forward.

- When the countdown reaches zero, the Axolotl dies, use moves to increase the timer.

List of Axolotl's moves:

 - Forward: Move forward one tile, Adds 5 seconds to countdown

- Left: Move left one tile - Right: Move right one tile

- Back: Move backward one tile, Removes 5 seconds from countdown

- Shiver: Lose 4 seconds from countdown

- Speculate: Refreshes the queue entirely

 - Taunt: Gain 20 points but removes 5 seconds from countdown
